These are a few of my Favorite Things...

Handmade Christmas presents were a big hit at my house this year.  Here are a few of the outstanding gifts we received that were made with love.

Evan Falbo made these awesome lights using Mason Jars and Quikrete.  He formed the top and bottom of the light using plastic bowls as forms to pour in the Quickrete, added the jar with light before it was dry and then painted them..  I LOVE the natural look of these lights!

This retro apron was a hand-sewn gift from Lindsey Falbo.  How cool!  Kind of makes me want to put a dress and heels on to hang around the house.  Ok, maybe not.  Lindsey plans to have an Etsy shop soon that she will sell her aprons; as well as handmade bow ties and lingerie.  Something for everyone.  We'll keep you posted on that.

While I'm wearing my apron, I can bake up these cookies in a jar, a wonderful handmade gift from Julia Wertz.  The instructions to make these Chewy Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies are handwritten on the top. Mmmm...

Also in the Santa Clause basket from Julia were these wonderful bath goodies.

How simple and beautiful are these creations?  Amazing handcrafted mixtures such as Mint Pine Bath Salts and Vanilla Green Tea Detox Bath are folded in these papers with ribbon and bejeweled trims.  Talk about pampering!

The new year brings hopes of a LaVintage Decor Studio and Gift Shop.  It is my hope that I can convince this trio as well as my other creative family members and friends to help stock the shelves with these handmade treasures.
